A6 Guitar Chord

How is the A6 guitar chord contructed? The sixth note of the A major scale is (F#), so an A6 chord will simply be the A major triad (A, C#, E) plus the sixth note (F#). Said differently, an A6 chord is made up of intervals 1 3 5 6, or notes A C# E F#.

This A6 or Amaj6 chord is not the same as the "A6 Power Chord". The A6 Power Chord, not shown here, contains only 2 notes; A (root) and F# (6th note); intervals 1 and 6.
