How is the Bb6 (or Bflat6 guitar chord) contructed? The sixth note of the Bb major scale is (G), so a Bb6 chord will simply be the Bb major triad (Bb, D, F) plus the sixth note (G). Said differently, a Bb6 chord is made up of intervals 1 3 5 6, or notes Bb D F G.

This Bb6 or Bbmaj6 chord is not the same as the "Bb6 Power Chord". The Bb6 Power Chord, not shown here, contains only 2 notes; Bb (root) and G (6th note); intervals 1 and 6.
