I play bluegrass music and purchased a Blueridge BR 180 a number of years ago. While I don't believe that it sounds as good as a Martin D-42, which it is supposed to be a copy of, I do believe it sounds like the Martin D-35, nice and bassy. In fact I like the BR 180 so much that I eventually sold my 1974 Martin D-18. I have yet to hear a better sounding guitar in its price range and in fact, it sounds much better than many acoustic guitars far above its price range.
