”Super Sounding Super Jumbo”

The Epiphone AJ-220S is an affordable option if you are looking for a high-quality advanced super jumbo guitar.

With a solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the AJ-220S definitely announces its presence with authority and will not let you down, even when you need to be heard over large crowds or strident instruments.

The amazingly rich harmonics of the AJ-220S can lose their clarity if you do not use the right weight strings, and the bridge pins will need to be changed out to something other than plastic if you are going to avoid a dead sound on the strings. But once you’ve tweaked this baby, she’ll give you a stunning performance.

The body breadth and width can be a little much for smaller guitarists who lack the reach and build to handle this model. But its wide shoulders and deep body make for a deep, rich sound that belies its inexpensive price. For at just ~$199, the AJ-220S is a decidedly affordable way to get the Super Jumbo Sound you’ve been dying to try.

What's this....?
by: Graham

A brand name super-jumbo with a SOLID SPRUCE TOP for<$200???? Have I fallen asleep on earth and woken up on another planet? It won't take much to turn this into a powerhouse guitar. Suggest perhaps check nut, bridge saddle and pins. If they're plastic, replace them with bone or 'tusq'. Re string with medium gauge Elixirs or similar....et voila!
