”Great School Music Program Classical Guitar for Beginners”

The Squier MC-1 Mini Classical Guitar is a good acoustic guitar for the beginning classical guitarist.

Built to ¾ size, this Squier by Fender mini classical nylon-string guitar is designed for students in school music programs as well as beginning guitarists who feel more comfortable with a smaller model. With laminated Agathis top, back and sides, these attractive little instruments are very durable and will stand up to repeated use by single or multiple players. The nylon strings of this classical guitar are much easier on children’s fingers than a child steel-string guitar. Mass-produced guitars such as this cheap Squier tend to vary significantly guitar-by-guitar in quality, so music teachers purchasing many guitars for their classrooms should keep the gems and return the lemons!

At about ~$99 each these sturdy little instruments also work well as travel guitars and can be taken from the studio to the campsite with very little trouble. However, if you are looking for quality of tone, you may want to consider paying a bit more and opting for the Ibanez IJC30 Quickstart ¾ Scale Classical Guitar Pack.

For just $20 more you not only get a ¾ size classical guitar, but also a gig bag, an electronic tuner and an accessories pouch that you can use for your tuner, picks and other assorted items. But rest assured that if you do choose the Squier MC-1 Mini Classical Guitar, you will be getting a very good little instrument for the money.
