”A Jumbo that Plays As Both Soloist and Accompanist”

The Guild GAD-JF30 Acoustic Design Series Jumbo Guitar has a bright light sound that will leave you energized and give your music a life of its own! GAD stands for “Guild Acoustic Design”: a guitar designed by Guild and made in China.

Built on a Jumbo body, the GAD-JF30 is a great acoustic guitar that was made to be played, and played often. With its solid spruce top for exceptional resonance and solid flame maple back and sides to lend it a brightly warm tone the sound of the GAD-JF30 Jumbo will leave you floored.

The sheer size of this guitar may be a bit intimidating – especially for smaller players. But its nice curvy shape makes it far easier to handle than a dreadnought, with the bottom 2/3 of the guitar belling out to give it a deep resonance that will project regardless of what situation you may find yourself in.

This is not, however, an acoustic guitar for beginners, as its tone and volume can easily become overwhelming if the musician does not have control of their instrument. But it does, however, make an excellent choice for the intermediate guitarist who is looking to upgrade to something really special.

With a tonal signature that puts one in mind of sunshine on a clear autumn day, the GAD-JF30 Jumbo is another one of those instruments that could not be considered a cheap guitar, for at ~$999 it is a bit pricier than Guild’s other solid-wood models, but definitely worth the cost.

The GAD-JF30 is one of those guitars lends itself to any occasion. While many Jumbos work best as rhythm pieces, the GAD-JF30 is a guitar that can be played as a solo piece or as an accompaniment to vocals and have absolutely no problem fitting itself to the style.

And speaking of styles, you don’t have to be shy with this model. While other guild models may lend themselves specifically towards fingerstyle or flatpicking, the GAD-JF30 sounds good no matter how you play it, and it even comes with a deluxe hardshell case so that you can keep this beauty safe.

Amazing NEW
by: Dan

I have played a '72 Martin D-18 since I bought it new when I was 15 years old. I love it and it's like one of my children. But I picked up one of these Chinese Guild Jumbos a few years ago and it was like magic. It just rocked my world. I will say that an identical one hanging next to it on the wall did little for me. But this particular one, man it just seduced me. I tuned it to DADGAD and played a ditty I had been working on it was mind blowing. I went home that night and thought about a couple of guitars I had had similar experiences with through the years and I had let slip away. Not this time. I went back the next day and bought it. The fellow I got it from turned me on to B-Band pickups and I had him put one in. What a fantastic combo. I still love my Martin and could never sell it, but the Guild has been my number one ever since. I have gigged with it for hundreds of hours over the last couple of years and I still absolutely love playing it. Flat pick, finger style (my main bag, believe it or not on a Jumbo), doesn't matter. It feels and sounds fantastic. And the flamed maple is gorgeous. I get comments all the time about how great it sounds. It's too bad they don't seem to be making this one any more.
