The Martin 000-28EC Eric Clapton Signature is definitely an instrument worthy of bearing the name of one of the greatest guitarists of all time, and little wonder given the fact that Martin makes some of the best acoustic guitars for sale.

Made by hand with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides and a solid Sitka spruce top, this guitar produces a balanced, honeyed tone that belies its smaller body size. And speaking of body size, the curviness of this little number makes it very easy to keep close to your body, even for younger or smaller built players. Another nice aspect is that the 000-28EC has a slightly wider neck that makes it easy to play, especially if you have longer fingers or larger hands.

Something to keep in mind with the Martin 000-28EC, however, is that it tends to have a very delicate constitution; meaning that it is more susceptible than some guitars to things like changes in temperature or humidity. So it will need some tender loving care and protection from the elements. Also, its smaller build makes it more difficult to play for those who may be tall or have longer arms.

The Martin 000-28EC costs between $3,299 and $3,499 (including its deluxe Martin hardshell case). And, while the price may be a prohibitive if you are on a budget, the tone and playability are really quite lovely if you can afford the price.
