A Great Beginner’s Guitar for Young Players

When it comes to guitars for young beginners, the Jasmine by Takamine JS341 Nylon-String ¾ Size Acoustic Guitar will not let you down. It will also provide you with the best chance to make sure that your child not only gets to learn to play a guitar, but learns how to play it well.

Everyone wants the best for their child, and that includes the best chance at succeeding at succeeding when they take up a new hobby or skill. So when your son or daughter expresses an interest in learning to play the guitar, getting them a beginner’s guitar that will support this dream is very important.

The Jasmine by Takamine JS341 Nylon-String ¾ Size Acoustic Guitar is scaled to exact dimensions in fingerboard scale, which means that your child will get the feel for playing a “real” guitar but on an instrument that is easier to handle for their size. The fact that it is a nylon string guitar means that it is much easier to play than steel string guitars, with not as much pressure being needed in order to bring out the notes as you would need with a steel string.

Made with spruce top and nato back and sides, the JS341 has a sweet tone which may not have the sustain that a solid top model would have, but which holds its tune fairly well in spite of not being a solid top instrument.

Even more importantly, the Jasmine by Takamine JS341 Nylon-String ¾ Size Acoustic Guitar only costs ~$149 (including a gig bag), this means that as a parent you won’t feel as if you are risking a great deal financially in giving your child the chance to learn how to play guitar and to learn how to play it well.

OK! NEW
by: Graham

Takamine is synonymous with 'quality'. This is a tough little axe with a decent pedigree. Not much trade-in or re-sale value, but nice enough to keep when you move up...just so you 'still have your FIRST guitar'!!
