”A Guitar That Cuts to the Chase”

The Martin D-18 Dreadnought may not have a lot of visual trimmings, but she’s definitely got it where it counts!

It’s a well-known fact that Martin produces some of the best acoustic guitars available, and the D-18 takes the very best in Martin design and quality craftsmanship and combines them into a package that even the most demanding guitarist is going to love.

Made of solid mahogany back and sides and solid Sitka spruce top, the Martin D-18 produces a clear, rounded tone that is a joy to listen to. Its trebles are well-defined and its bass is warm; every note you play on the D-18 plays as smooth as butter and can be heard above and beyond any other instruments that may be playing.

The sheer volume that the Martin D-18 produces can be attributed to the selection of woods used in its construction coupled with its being built on a dreadnought body; meaning that it has a deeper body and is wider through the shoulders than other styles of guitars. In fact, the size of this instrument may be a bit intimidating to younger or more slightly built guitarists. But if you can handle it, you will find that the Martin D18 is definitely a guitar worth adding to your collection. And at $2,199 (including the hard-shell case) it is definitely not the most expensive guitar on the market which, given the quality of the piece, is hard to believe.
