Guitar Microphones: Sennheiser E609 Silver Dynamic

The Seinheiser E609 is a beautiful microphone designed to pick up the richest sounds from the mouth of your acoustic guitar, and is one of my favorite live performance microphones. It is usually used to pick up the sounds of electric guitars, but I prefer to use it as my acoustic guitar microphone.

The design of the microphone ensures that I can place it very close to my guitar without it getting in my way when I am playing. And the microphone is easily able to isolate the sounds of my guitar from the rest of the sounds produced on stage thanks to its amazing cardioid pattern. At just over a hundred bucks, this microphone may be a bit costlier than I like, but it is still one of the best live performance acoustic guitar microphones around.
