How is the F6 guitar chord contructed? The sixth note of the F major scale is (D), so an F6 chord will simply be the F major triad (F, A, C) plus the sixth note (D). Said differently, an F6 chord is made up of intervals 1 3 5 6, or notes F A C D.

This F6 or Fmaj6 chord is not the same as the "F6 Power Chord". The F6 Power Chord, not shown here, contains only 2 notes; F (root) and D (6th note); intervals 1 and 6.
