The Squier by Fender guitar sounds surprisingly good considering that it has a laminated spruce top as well as laminated agathis back and sides. But the rounded tone of the guitar begins to pale when it becomes clear that it loses its pitch relatively quickly (you’ll be using that electronic tuner a lot!). And while it handles fingerstyle playing relatively well, too much picking will send it out of tune even faster.

Fender is best known for the Stratocaster and Telecaster ELECTRIC guitars,and this fame is justified. Their acoustic guitars, however, do not share, nor do they merit this reputation. If you're looking for a 'package' deal, perhaps look a little further. If you can save $100, you can save $200 and for that you'll get something worth having.
