Fender Acoustic Guitars: Tim Armstrong Hellcat
by Guitar Guru
<!***** REVIEWGOESHERE *************>”A Real Rocker’s Guitar”
The Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat Acoustic Guitar will definitely feel as if you own a little piece of history. Modeled after the 1960’s model of Fender acoustic played by Tim Armstrong, this little number is anything but Rancid!
Spruced up with details from Armstrong himself, this beauty not only has a solid mahogany top
and laminated mahogany back and sides, but pearl acrylic “Hellcat” logos between the frets and a skull thrown onto the twelfth fret for good old Armstrong style. The Hellcat Acoustic Guitar even has a Fishman preamp with a built-in tuner so you will be all ready to plug in and really get rocking in no time flat.
At just ~$349, the Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat Acoustic Guitar is a good acoustic guitar, but the quality of craftsmanship is not as tight as some other brands. For $40 more you can have a Washburn WD 35S
which is quite a bit sturdier, and whose solid spruce top and ash back and sides give it a lighter, less heavy feel than the Fender.
However, if it’s the Fender name or Armstrong’s style that is selling you on the Hellcat, you won’t be disappointed, and you’ll find that you’ll get years worth of use out of it.
